Fred has been apart of the fair since the beginning, first as a vendor and then as an organizer. An Ann Arbor native, he began glassblowing at the University of Oregon.(Quack Quack) and shows and sells both art and functional pieces. Fred continues to work every year to improve the Monroe street Fair and continue the legacy of fun, free and safe fairs.
Charlie founded the fair in 2002 and has been it's chief visionary and ambassador ever since. He began his career in architecture in 1982 as a high school student, studied architecture at the University Of Detroit, worked for some of the oldest and most prestigious firms in the country and world. He has over 20 years experience in pro-cannabis related industries, and has been a pro-cannabis activist for over 17 years. Charlie began working at B.D.T. Smoke Shops in 1996 and founded the Monroe Street Fair in 2002.
Sal has been with the fair since 2010 and became it's Administer of Entertainment in 2012. Sal reviews over 100 acts and books 6 bands and a total of 9-15 acts every year.
Sal has been a performer and worked in the music industry for years.
Sal wrote a killer song about Detroit, was inspired to make a graphic representation of it and founded Don't Be Afraid Of Detroit Apparel company in 2010. You will find Don't Be Afraid of Detroit Apparel online and at festivals across southeast Michigan
